SmoothStreamsTV plugin not working on Amazon Fire TV plex client only

$

0

Specific problem here:

  1. Local content (movies & shows) stored on the Plex Media Server PC stream perfectly to all clients (Amazon FireTV Plex app, web client, iOS Plex Client)

  2. All Internet channels (except SmoothstreamsTV) stream fine to all clients.

  3. SmoothstreamTV channel streams fine to all clients EXCEPT Amazon Fire TV client!

  4. When I go to SmoothstreamsTV channel the EPG comes up and works fine. **But when I choose a stream I get "Playback has stopped because the connection to the Plex Media Server has been lost" every time. ** This happens with every stream on the SmoothstreamsTV plugin.

Any suggestions? Is this an issue with the Fire TV plex client or the SmoothstreamsTV plugin? The plugin works well with ALL other clients...

Log files attached where I generated the error several times. Database file attached also.

Thanks - Slugger

Plex Wink

Please do not submit log files here. PM them to me as they may contain sensitive information.

Philips Hue support has been added! It's not yet available via the UAS but it can be manually installed from GitHub. Once it's been tested and considered stable I'll push it to the UAS

Grab the latest 3.X.X release from the Unsupported App Store v2 or from https://github.com/vanstinator/PlexWink.bundle/releases

Major changes in this release. Lights, devices, and users are no longer configured via the channel settings. Logic is now contained in "rooms" that are dynamically created. See following text for instructions. Please post if you need help.

PlexWink is a Plex Channel that is designed to give Plex control of your home's smart lighting capabilities. The channel will monitor your Plex server for play criteria that you set up with the channel. If any of the criteria are met PlexWink will turn your lights off when Plex is playing a media item and will turn them back on when you are finished.

The channel logic is designed around the concept of a room. A room is just a collection of lights and clients. If you have multiple rooms in your home where you use Plex the channel supports that too! PlexWink can create and store as many rooms as one needs.

Creating a Room

To create a room in PlexWink click Create a Room and fill in the text field with the desired room name.

Plex Web will not show this button. Instead text must be entered in the search field. From the home screen of PlexWink type in the name of the room being created into the search field and hit enter.

PlexWink will take you back to the home screen of the channel where there will now be a button with the name of the new room you just created.

Adding lights and devices

Navigate to the home screen of PlexWink and click on the room that is to be configured. On the next screen click on Select lights. A list of the Wink light groups will be displayed. Select the groups you would like to trigger for this room. After selecting the lights click Select devices and select the devices that are in the room. These devices will determine whether or not Plex controls your lights when media playback is detected.

Support

Support is available on the Plex forums. Please do not open an issue on GitHub unless told by me or you have done sufficient technical analysis. I will close any issues that are not technical in nature. The forum thread where support can be had is https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/205647/rel-plexwink-control-your-wink-smart-lights-with-plex

Requirements
* A current version of PMS
* A Wink or Philips Hue Smart Hub and some at least one bulb
* At least one group configured in Wink or Hue

The config is pretty simple. Fill out your plex login credentials, your wink credentials, and your wink API credentials. You can get the API keys by emailing support@winkapp.com.

[REL] Webisodes

$

0

I have written a new channel called Webisodes.  It is a channel to hold your favorite web series from different sources on the Internet. It will work with YouTube playlist and user uploads, Vimeo shows, Daily Motion shows, Live HLS feeds, and RSS Feeds (as long as there is an existing Plex URL service or there are links to the video files on the feed page). I have added two shows from each source by default, just to show you how the program works. It allows you delete shows and add a new show with just the URL address.

The channel is available through the Unsupported Appstore V2

Or it can be manually downloaded from the Github site at https://github.com/shopgirl284/Webisodes.bundle

PLEASE READ THE FULL INSTRUCTIONS FOR CORRECT URL FORMAT FOR ADDING SHOWS. I have included these instructions in the user entry instructions text file in the Contents folder and the README file on GitHub. I will also post these instructions in a separate post below.

UPDATES AND CHANGES

4/29/2017 - Added more error correction

11/13/2016 - Added Live Feed support, updated instructions and cleaned up structure

11/2/2016 - Fixed issue with YouTube images and saving individual entries

4/27/2016 - Added code for YouTube to better handle playlist items

1/28/2016 - Removed references to Websites that no longer exists or are otherwise defunct like Yahoo Screens and BlipTV

8/11/2015 - Updated support for YouTube Section. Since YouTube v2 API support for playlist no longer works, users, channels, and playlists are produced as a list of playlists that then show a list of the first two pages of videos results for each playlists.

Know Client Issues and Limitations:

Adding new items to this channel requires using a Plex player app that supports user input from Plex channels. The Plex player apps for Roku supports user input and the Remoku can be helpful in entering URLs

Plex/Web (aka Media Manager)  -

Because Plex/Web pulls from the cache and only updates once a day, unless you clear the cache of your web browser, changes you make to the Webisode channel will not show up for up to 24 hrs.

You can copy and paste the url address of a new show you would like to add into the search box at the top of the screen to add the channel. You must be within the directory for the type of show you would like to add. For example if you opened of the YouTube directory which shows all of your currently installed YouTube shows, then you can paste the url of the new feed you would like to add in the search box of that page. A dialog box will appear and tell you that the show has been added.

HelloHue for Plex and Philips Hue

Sync and control your Philips Hue lights with Plex!

Credits
This Channel is based on PlexWink by @vanstinator.

Behavior

This channel detects when a media is playing, paused or stopped on your Plex Clients. Then it checks if it's a video, the client name, and the user who owns the stream. If it matches your criteria it triggers your lights with the actions you have set up.
You can also turn your lights on and off inside the channel.

Configuration

The config is pretty simple and only needs to be done once. Configure your settings following the details below.
One room is composed of one client, one or multiple users and one or multiple lights, as well as the actions : on play, on stop, on pause, dim value, and only trigger if it's dark outside.

  • Plex.tv login is your Plex login.
  • Plex.tv passwords is your Plex password. It is only sent to plex.tv to get an identification token (so you must have a working internet access).
  • Plex Server Address is the local adress + port to reach your server (example : 127.0.0.1:32400).
  • Philips Hue Bridge Address is the ip address of your Philips Bridge.
  • Nearest city from your location Used to calculate to calculate sunrise/sunset hours at your location.
  • Activate HelloHue in room 1 Tick to activate room 1 (and fill the client, users and lights settings for room 1).
  • Name of plex client able to trigger in room 1 You can find the list of users in PMS -> settings -> devices. Only put ONE client per room. If your have two clients in the same room, activate an other room and fill the settings with the other clients name and the same lights names.
  • Name of the users able to trigger in room 1 You can find the list of users in PMS -> settings -> users -> myhome. You can put multiple users (comma separated values, case sensitive).
  • Name of the lights to trigger in room 1 is the list of lights that will be triggered in room 1. You can put multiple users (comma separated values, case sensitive).
  • When a media is playing in room 1 is the action that will fire when a media is playing in room 1.
  • When a media is paused in room 1 is the action that will fire when a media is paused in room 1.
  • When a media is stopped in room 1 is the action that will fire when a media is stopped in room 1.
  • Choose dim value in room 1 is the value your lights will dim to. (20 is the min brightness and 240 is max)
  • Randomize hue and saturation on Dim/Turn On in room 1 will randomize your light color each time the action turn on or dim is fired.
  • Only trigger lights if it's dark outside in room 1 Tick to only trigger your lights between sunrise and sunset.
  • Activate HelloHue in room 2 Same thing as Activate HelloHue in room 1 ...
  • ...

Usage

[REQ] TFC - The Filipino Channel

$

Would anyone be so kind as to provide a channel for TFC? My wife would love to be able to browse her favorite TV shows and Filipino movies without having to browse to this website or pay for it through our TV provider.

TFC has a paywall on it, which is absolutely fine. I am not looking to get this content for free (although, free is pretty awesome) just as long as I can configure the channel to provide my user/pass.

They provide a free trial, which hopefully is enough to get this setup. If additional paid account(s) are necessary to facilitate developing this channel, I would gladly discuss the requirements with you.

Website: http://tfc.tv/

I mostly use Plex Web, or Plex for android.

Thank you so very much in advance. Would help me cut the cord to my TV provider which charges me more for TFC than the website would charge, the website just isn't as convenient. Having it on Plex would change that.

Cheers,
TnT

DesiTelly.bundle

Plex Media Server plug-in designed for Desi Entertainment. Supports DesiTvBox, DesiTashan & DesiRulez

DesiTelly

Features:

  • Continuos playback of parts when using DesiTvBox -> Playwire/Flash (read below and enable under Preferences)
  • Pinning Shows

Plex Media Server:

  • Windows
  • Linux
  • Mac

Plex Clients:

  • Plex Home Theater
  • Plex/Web
  • Samsung Plex App
  • Android Kit-Kat (Samsung Galaxy S3)
  • iOS (Apple iPhone6)

Important Notes:

  • Currently only Dailymotion, Flash/Playwire, PlayU, Letwatch/Vidshare & VMG host is supported well.
  • More hosts can be enabled using USS (read below under Preferences/Options setting). UnSupportedServices.bundle must be installed and updated to dev branch to use Openload host when available for video links.
  • Movie support for DesiRulez is included but YMMV (installing USS is highly recommended)
  • This plugin builds from my older version located here.

Preferences/Options setting:

  • Allow Hosts natively NOT supported by this plugin: This options when enabled will list all host sources available, however, based on URLServices installed on your Plex server the capability to play a video will be determined. If you plan to enable this feature installing USS above is highly recommended.
  • Consolidate Parts - Flash/Playwire [Desitvbox]: This feature groups split-parts of a single show as one playable item. Currently only enabled for Flash/Playwire source under DesiTvBox. This might be expanded to others based on feedback.

Known issues and future development:

  • The page schema and naming convention is very inconsistent so even though the parser has many fallbacks it may still fail to retrieve the links. If you find such cases please post details of such shows.
  • Incorrectly marked videos will not play.

Installation:

  • This channel can be installed via WebTools.bundle or manually follow the directions below.
  • Extract zip file downloaded from github to the Plex Media Server plugins folder and rename the folder to DesiTelly.bundle. Restart Plex Media Server.
  • Unix based platforms need to chown plex:plex -R DesiTelly.bundle after moving it into the Plug-ins directory (user:group may differ by platform)

Steps to install USS and update to the latest dev branch.
1. Download and install Twoure's USST, then change the Repo Branch to dev from within the USST channel's preferences.
2. From the USST's main menu select Install New USS

Acknowledgements:

  • Credits to b-slick: for developing the original code for DesiRulez.
  • Credits to mohit310 and hussamnasir for contributions. Check out their forks as well.
  • Thanks to Twoure for developing the UnSupportedServices.bundle and help with split-part playback.

[REL] wol.bundle - WOL Plugin for Plex

$
0
0

Hi there,

Please find the link to the Plex Wake on LAN Plugin, now available:
https://github.com/SpacemanJT/wol.bundle

Many thanks to the valuable contributions from the community in the development of this Plugin.

Basic Functionality: To send WAKE on LAN packets from the Plex Media Server to systems to be woken up. This allows the user to bring online additional resources which might be turned off, such as DVR boxes, NAS drives or other hosts of library content.

Please note that this Plugin does not wake the PMS from the client App. The PMS needs to be available.

This Plugin allows the user to configure up to 10 systems, which can be woken individually. Each system can be disabled, so that it doesn't appear on the list of systems that can be woken.

In addition the plugin supports up to two Wake-up Groups, where Wake requests can be sent to any of the specified 10 systems, even if the system is disable from appearing on the main list. Each Wake up group can be staggered to add a delay between machines of 0, 0.5,1 or 2 seconds.

The Plugin does its best to error check and where possible correct user preferences. Failures to send WOL requests are also reported and logged in C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Logs\PMS Plugin Logs or wherever your Plex server is located. Look for com.plexapp.plugins.wol

Revision History:
1.00 10-04-16 Initial Release
1.01 10-04-16 Code tidied
1.02 10-04-16 Added support for two WOL Groups and staggered startups
1.03 10-04-16 Renamed the files in preparation for UAS submission
1.04 14-04-16 Add Support for 1.5 second group delay; WOL Default Group Delay now 0.5 seconds instead of 0
Additional logging information for the processing of preferences and Group WOL actions
Tidied up some of the terminology - Systems not "enabled" can still be used in Group wake up
so "enabled" has been replaced with "Show in List" Cured a bug where a system that was enabled,
and specified to be used in a group but had invalid settings would still be added to the group wake up

Are there any plans to make a plugin for Lightroom? I would kill for this as I don't use iPhoto or Aperture.

I saw a post in the gen plex .8 forums about this, but thought I'd start a thread here as it seems more appropriate.

USTVNOW XTV PLEX Channel/Guide Listing

Hey Guys,

I had Plex running on my Mac with XTV and USTVNOW streaming to my Roku. I would select XTV inside Plex on my Roku and then USTVNOW and it would say the major networks and what was on at that time. Well my computer crashed and I had to reload everything. I have everything set back up but it's working differently.

Now it shows a list of 28 channels and they don't all work. How do I get it back to just showing the major networks and what's on at that time. It no longer shows that either.

Any ideas?

Guys
I have fully rewritten the TuneIn channel
Now it plays fine almost all stations and shows.
It also lists a user stations separately and even custom streams (user added to his tunein account)

Grab it from github.
