After initially installing Plex then using AlwaysOn to run Plex as a service on a Windows 10 Pro x64 on a Dell PC it seemed to work fine for all and no login was required. Then after uninstalling AlwaysOn and removing it from the Registry and updating Plex Server with Plex-Media-Server-1.7.5.4035-313f93718.exe and adding PlexService_1.1.2.msi set to start automatically then started experiencing various issues. After troubleshooting these are the issues that remain:
Plex Server only runs while I am logged in to the PC.
FMoviesPlus: Error: List index out of range.
IceFilms: Always empty.
LetMeWatchThis: Sorry. We couldn’t load requested content.
SS-Plex: Conversion Failed. The transponder crashed or failed to start up.
G2G.FM: Seems to be working properly
BitTorrent: Folder “Recent” is always empty, otherwise working properly.
Movies2K: Sorry. We couldn’t load requested content.
Configuration and log files available.
Suggestions?
Hello,
I have been using PLEX for a while now with movies and tv shows on my local computer. A couple of days ago I got access to a remote server where are hosted many tv shows and movies that can be accessed with a URL like this:
is there a way to add those movies in plex? I tried to add them in the Cigaras/IPTV.bundle as I have a sort of m3u file that contains all those links:
but seems that the plugin crashes (as there are a lot of files). I wish to know if there is another way, as it seems that is not possible to add them in a normal library, maybe there is a plugin that works! Thank you very much
Was wondering if we could get an NBC Sports Live plugin like what is up and running over at Kodi: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=207159
It would be nice to at least get this available for the Roku!
I have a Plex server which I let friends connect via Plex pin (nowtv) I've told them not to install the channel addons (history, mtv, nbc, golf etc) but one of them is. I can't see who's doing it unless they watch stuff so is there another way to see which device installed it or completely block people adding them.
Thanks in advance
I am new to all this but I downloaded and installed the Unsupported app store plugin, it worked great for the first few times I watched it, but now a bunch of the apps won't load when you get the final step to watch the show? I've been trying to find how to fix it but have not had any luck, any ideas. or where I can go to find and answer?
Installed PMS on Windows7 PC. PLex client on Roku. Installed the ccloud bundle in the plug in folder. Once I access the CCLOUD channels, I get an server error mostly on the US main chanels (CNN, ESPN etc). Secondsary channels like ABC News are OK.
Any suggestions?
Cheers, J
WebTools 2.x is a collection of utilities to help with the management of your Plex Server.
This plugin is not limited to the usual channel interface. Instead, it utilizes a built-in webserver to display a responsive web interface which also works on mobile devices, allowing you to manage your Plex Server from any device.
This tool was created by Dagalufh (Frontend), omc1000 (Frontend) and Dane22 (Backend) with the beta testing from:
This tool allows for easy viewing of logs related to Plex and it's plugins via an easy to use web interface. It also gives you the ability to download all of the logs in a .zip file to easily send to a developer of a specific plugin.
(This includes logs of 3rd party plugins, contrary to the Log download button in Plex Web.)
The purpose of this tool is to give the user a way to manage subtitles that are not embedded.
Current features:
* View the content of a subtitle file for easier identification.
* Highlights the subtitle that is selected as active in Plex for a specific Movie or Episode
* Removal of one or more subtitles. Usage is on your own risk as this will delete files on your hard drive.
This tool was originally created by mikedm139 and was one of the most popular plugins in the Plex universe. Now, this is included in WebTools 2.0, giving it an easy to use web interface that allows for quick installation/removal/update of plugins.
For more information, please visit the UnsupportedAppStore thread
This tool will quickly search a library, and then compare the items in the Plex database to the actually accessible media files on disk. It will then list all missing items from either the Plex Media Server database, or from your file system. This tool combines the outcome from the 3rd party plugins "Find-Missing" and "Find-Unmatched".
Find-Unmatched is due to that discontinued, and removed from UAS.
It's with great pride, that we can announce, that one of the most dedicated Ninja's up here ( @trumpy81 ) has made a user guide, to the benefit of us all. It's fully integrated into WebTools and can be accessed via the help menu.
Installation of WebTools is sadly a manual process, so here's what to do:
The directory structure should look like this:
Plugins
|_ WebTools.bundle
|_ Contents
Now wait a couple of minutes, and then check in the channels directory to see if you have a channel named WebTools. If not, restart the Plex Media Server.
Note:
You can also use the EasyInstaller if your Plex Media Server is running on:
If running Docker, this might be helpful

To use this plugin, just type http://<Your-PMS-IP>:33400 into your browser's address bar.
It's a good idea to bookmark it.
The initial screen will be different, depending on your PMS setup:
After login you are presented with a list of available tools:
When accessing this tool it loads up the Plex Media Server log. You can then via the drop-down select the log you wish to see.
There are no extra preferences available for this tool.
When accessing this tool it fetches a list of available libraries and populates a menu at the top.
By selecting one of the libraries, the tool starts to fetch a set amount of data and presents it to you.
If it’s a TV library, you can continue moving down the tree until you hit an episode
You can then select one or more subtitles for removal, view a subtitle, or upload a new one
This tool offers some extra preferences other than the default for WebTools, refer to the built-in help file for more details
See separate thread about usage for this over here
If you are a developer, and developing towards WT, then notice, that when version 3.0.0 is released, it'll be with a brand new API V3 as well. Current API will be discontinued in version 3.2.0

I have written a new channel called Webisodes. It is a channel to hold your favorite web series from different sources on the Internet. It will work with YouTube playlist and user uploads, Vimeo shows, Daily Motion shows, Live HLS feeds, and RSS Feeds (as long as there is an existing Plex URL service or there are links to the video files on the feed page). I have added two shows from each source by default, just to show you how the program works. It allows you delete shows and add a new show with just the URL address.
The channel is available through the Unsupported Appstore V2
Or it can be manually downloaded from the Github site at https://github.com/shopgirl284/Webisodes.bundle
PLEASE READ THE FULL INSTRUCTIONS FOR CORRECT URL FORMAT FOR ADDING SHOWS. I have included these instructions in the user entry instructions text file in the Contents folder and the README file on GitHub. I will also post these instructions in a separate post below.
UPDATES AND CHANGES
4/29/2017 - Added more error correction
11/13/2016 - Added Live Feed support, updated instructions and cleaned up structure
11/2/2016 - Fixed issue with YouTube images and saving individual entries
4/27/2016 - Added code for YouTube to better handle playlist items
1/28/2016 - Removed references to Websites that no longer exists or are otherwise defunct like Yahoo Screens and BlipTV
8/11/2015 - Updated support for YouTube Section. Since YouTube v2 API support for playlist no longer works, users, channels, and playlists are produced as a list of playlists that then show a list of the first two pages of videos results for each playlists.
Know Client Issues and Limitations:
Adding new items to this channel requires using a Plex player app that supports user input from Plex channels. The Plex player apps for Roku supports user input and the Remoku can be helpful in entering URLs
Plex/Web (aka Media Manager) -
Because Plex/Web pulls from the cache and only updates once a day, unless you clear the cache of your web browser, changes you make to the Webisode channel will not show up for up to 24 hrs.
You can copy and paste the url address of a new show you would like to add into the search box at the top of the screen to add the channel. You must be within the directory for the type of show you would like to add. For example if you opened of the YouTube directory which shows all of your currently installed YouTube shows, then you can paste the url of the new feed you would like to add in the search box of that page. A dialog box will appear and tell you that the show has been added.
TwitchMod - Twitch.TV with extra features

* Source quality
* Past Broadcasts/Highlights support
* Followed channels
* Search streams/channels/games
* Play subscriber-only VODs.

Channel Preferences:
see https://github.com/coryo/TwitchMod.bundle/blob/master/README.md
Issues:
* Different clients handle quality selection differently.
* Plex for iOS v4 doesn't have inputDirectoryObjects so you cant search.
* Plex Web Client doesn't play streams on certain browsers on certain OSes.
* Plex Web Client doesn't have inputDirectoryObjects so you cant search.
Installation:
get the zip, extract the bundle to the PMS Plug-ins folder, and rename it to TwitchMod.bundle

LiveTVH provides live TV streaming for Plex via Tvheadend, including metadata from Tvheadend's EPG, theTVDB, and The Movie DB.
After running into a few issues with the existing Tvheadend channels (streaming to iOS, etc), developing a new plugin was a good excuse to play around with Python and the channel framework. I'm not a developer by trade so feedback is appreciated!
2017.05.22 - LiveTVH 1.2

2017.05.14 - LiveTVH 1.1

2017.05.10 - Initial release 1.0
Rich metadata: provided via theTVDB and The Movie DB.

First off, thank you to Krustyreturns for his help with this project and also his on going development of ServerWMC which is allowing us to integrate Windows Media Center's LiveTV functionality with Plex.
You can learn more about ServerWMC and download it here. ServerWMC Wiki . It is required, along with Windows Media Center, for this channel to function.
You can get more information/documentation on ServerWMC and wmc2plex by clicking this link. (Thank you Ianj001 for putting this together)
This channel is in it very early Alpha stages. Currently it will only work with a TV tuner that has DLNA capabilities such as the HDHomeRun Prime.
Current Version: Alpha 0.11.3
Current functionality:
- Get list of LiveTV channels without EPG data
- Get list of channels in Guide Section with EPG data.
- See what is currently playing on those channels
- Stream those channels.
- Get full listings for 'x' amount of days when in channel object (added 1/8/2015) - See Post 18 for more info
- List scheduled recordings, Cancel Scheduled recordings (added 1/16/2015) *This is for single items only. Series management is not implemented yet.
- transcoding profiles (added 1/16/2015)
- Ability to record currently playing programs (added 1/16/2015)
- Work with non-DLNA capable tuners.
- View/stream recordings
- List scheduled Series Recordings
- Manage and schedule Series Recordings
Future plans:
- Functional EPG for those clients that can support it. (This may not be possible through the current Channel API)
- Rewind, Pause and Fast Forward on live TV.
This was Developed on Windows 8.1.
Plex Version : 0.9.16.0
Server OS Tested : Windows 8.1, Synology(Thanks Rog), QNAP(Thanks Breezy)
Clients Tested : Plex Home Theater, Plex Web, Roku 3,Plex Android, Plex Samsung, Plex iOS
Networks: Tested on LAN, WiFi, and over 4G network on Android. (This means successful streaming of LiveTv from your home to anywhere in the world as long as you have a decent cell connection.)
Settings in wmc2plex channel:
serverwmcip - put in the ip of your machine running ServerWMC. Default is localhost.
serverwmc_port - If you changed the port when ServerWMC was installed put that in. Default is 9080.
server_wmc_epg_days - This will dictate how many days of EPG (guide) info to get. default is 7. This is more for future use as in its current state it only shows what is now playing on the channels.
debug_level - If you are having trouble please change this to Verbose, restart Plex and recreate the issue. Submit the logs. Otherwise, default is normal but can be turned to none.
Again, thank you to Krustyreturns and other who have helped with this project. I will release another Alpha build when the next phase is complete.
You can get the plugin from github via this link - wmc2lpex
NOTE* : Keep in mind that the DLNA stream from the tuner will be transcoded by Plex.
When you are looking at scheduled recordings, keep in mind, clicking the item will cancel the recording.
IMPORTANT: When posting issues please provide log files. You can find out how to get the log files for the plugin here.

Metadata agent for Audiobooks stored in a music library. Finally getting around to doing an official release post. Hope to have it in the unsupported app store soon.
It scrapes from Audible.com. It uses the Album Artist as the books Author and uses the Album Title as the Book Title. All audio files will need to be tagged correctly in order for this thing to do it's job. You can manually search for each book, but that kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it?
Download: https://github.com/macr0dev/Audiobooks.bundle/archive/master.zip
Source: https://github.com/macr0dev/Audiobooks.bundle
Metadata supplied:
Full Title Author (as Artist) Book/Album Cover (as Poster) Release Date (audiobook, not print or e-book) Production Studio (as Record Label) Publisher's Summary (as Review) Narrator(s) (as Genre Tag) Genres (as Genre Tag, duh)
**Library Creation Options: **
Create a BASIC MUSIC LIBRARY (not a premium Plex muisc library)
DO NOT check 'Use Embedded Tags'
DO check 'Store Track Progress'
Agent - Select Audiobooks
Tips for greatest success:
Set "Album" tag in audio file as the book title Set "Artist" tag in audio file as the book author None of the other tags really matter for searching and matching. Manual 'match' will use the Author/Artist field if it's present, but you cannot enter it manually. Only the title. Make sure all the tracks have the same artist and album. Store each in a folder
Notes:
-Title data in parens () such as (Unabridged) is automatically removed before search. I've found this improves the results and matching.
-Currently, I don't have a great source for author data. What populates now (if any) is being done automatically from last.fm. You're welcome to go add some data there. This was kind of a happy accident.
-You can filter by the various tags that are added to each book. Be it author, series, narrator, etc.
I was wondering if someone could help. I've been trying to get IPTV channels playing through Plex for some time now without success using the IPTV.bundle plugin. I can load channels through an m3u playlist but when trying to play through the android app, I get the error "Playback was not possible: Not enough bandwidth for any playback of this item. Cannot convert to below minimum bandwidth of 103kbps".
I can play channels locally through the web app on a computer though.
Interestingly, I just set up Emby and loaded the m3u list. Emby plays all channels through the android app locally and remotely flawlessly, so it's not a bandwidth issue, it seems to be a problem with Plex. I have tried numerous suggestions found on forums re changing remote access settings, but have had no luck.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, is there any likelihood of Plex adding native IPTV support?
After a small learning curve I managed to get SmoothStreams installed as a Channel on my server. But, there is always a but, none of SmoothStreams streams work. They all give me a - This channel is not responding - whenever I access them.
I've checked my SmoothStreams setup against what is recommended on their PDF (attached) and on their site. Access problems from both the server and from my phone.
I suspect a setup issue, but not sure what. Recommendations, suggestions, would be much appreciated.

I've created a channel to view videos hosted on PornHub.
Features:
This channel is available in the Unsupported App Store v2. You can also download the bundle from GitHub to install manually.
Side story: I forked this from the original PornHub channel which stopped working long ago. I've created a pull request with all of my changes, but it seems like the original author hasn't been active on GitHub in 5 years, so I'm not holding my breath. If by some crazy happenstance the original author reads this (or someone knows them), I'd love to have you accept my pull request and hopefully even make me a contributor on the original repo. Until then, I'll be maintaining my fork. If enough time goes by, I might contact GitHub to remove me from "forked" status and have it as it's own stand-alone repo. Who knows. Anyways, enjoy the channel.
Also credit to @Nosinden for the idea to have a video sub-menu where you can see what porn stars are in the video, etc. Will be updating that with thumbnails eventually, much like his SpankBang channel. That dude makes good channels.
