NextPVR Channel - stream live TV to Plex from NextPVR
Just wanted to throw this out there to those who are interested. This plugin allows you to stream live TV from NextPVR - it's based on some of the code psyciknz wrote for NextPVR-Plex but mine only streams live TV. plex-npvr can handle subchannels (4.1,4.2, etc...) and the ability to have broadcaster logos displayed on the channel listing.
See GitHub for more info:

Didn't mean that as a question :)

BringThePopcorn.net Plex Channel
Early november a couple of guys started making a website to aggregate full movies from around YouTube on one simple to use website. The project grew from innitially being a fairly ugly site with just movies listed to having more and more information available including ratings for the movies which are fetched from themoviedb, and then to include more info such as plot and actors. Filtering options were improved to include a lot of various things like quality and year of release. And eventually a whole overhaul was made to the design of the site to look more like NetFlix incudling categories like latest added, top rated and most popular. Search functions were being improved on the site to include searchability by actor and by movie title and just this week voting was launched for the site so that the users can rate the movies they watch.
Last week the plex-plugin was publicly announced on Reddit and this week it was accepted into the Un-supported app store.
So now we are happy to announce the Plex plugin for www.brinthepopcorn.net here on your forum and we look forward to recieving feedback from this community so that we can continue improving the service.
We hope you enjoy it!

Sub-Zero: Should we change the order of preferences?
Recently @dane22, who maintains the Sub-Zero Wiki, came to me and asked whether I could re-arrange the display order of Sub-Zero preferences in the plugin's settings screen to a more categorized one, to make it easier to create the Wiki pages.
He is thinking about something like this:
1. basic settings
2. providers
3. sub settings
4. scheduler
I've followed a simple ordering scheme with the settings screen til now: see the things first that you need for SZ to function properly as a new user, ignore the rest (as the defaults are good). In my opinion SZ should work out of the box, without many adjustments for 90% of the 20.000 active users. For the advanced stuff one eventually has to visit the Wiki.
My problem with the new approach is, that it requires every user to see every setting at first usage and possibly think about them, trying to understand whether they need to fill it out now or not, possibly scaring them or leading to bad decisions.
In addition to that, I would love the approach if I had more control over the preferences screen, like tabs, or an "advanced mode" switch.
I understand the approach from the Wiki point of view, and for advanced users it might be a more logical order.
What do you think? Do you perhaps have another proposal?

Unable to Get Individual USTVNOW Channels to Work on Plex / Roku
I'm new to Plex and fairly new to USTVNOW and Roku. I was able to get the USTVNOW Channel to show up on Plex / Roku. When I click on the USTVNOW channel on my Roku on Plex, the 7 individual channels show up - ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC, PBS and MY9 and the times, names of programs, etc. appear next to each one so that part is working. When I click on an individual channel (i.e. NBC), it starts to load, shows the name of the TV program that's on, the time, etc. so all of that part is working but then I get a message on the screen saying "Video Unavailable. Sorry, but we can't play this video. The original video may no longer be available, or it may be in a format that isn't supported." . That message appears for each of the 7 USTVNOW channels that I click on. I'm signed in to my USTVNOW account, Plex and Roku so it's not that I forgot to sign in. I'm not sure what to do. Part of it must be working because it displays the time, schedule names of TV programs and when they're on,e tc. What do I do? Thanks.
CBC channel issue
Thought I would start a new thread due to recent changes regarding CBC channel. To draw attention to issue.
The CBC channel TV section is returning no results.
Please look into a fix.( I already reported the issue on github)
Thanks
FYI the issue is cause by these site changes.
Recently all of the TV have now moved to watch.cb.ca exclusively.
Sports , news, and radio will stay on cbc.ca
Kids is currently on both but soon only be on watch.cbc.ca

Webtool 2.3 installation problems
I was able too install Webtools 2.3 in the latest version of Plex OK. But, when I open Webtools it, it tells me to open the url (port 33400) shown, in a separate browser. When I do that, it just goes back to the same message again, no login comes up?? I've tried everything that I can think of to get past this. Uninstalled reinstalled, etc. Please help me, I'm so lost.

[REL] MST3K - Mystery Science Theater 3000
First stab at Channel development: https://github.com/crowservo/mst3k.bundle
This relies on crowd-sourced links from Club-MST3K.com. Most of the links resolve to YouTube, and are thus handled by PMS's built-in YouTube Service. Being crowd-sourced, links will die from time to time, and in the particular case of YouTube, the video is replaced with take-down notice. (There are many, many legit/licensed MST3K videos on YouTube hosted by Shout Factory TV that the Channel reaches -- but the Channel software is just simple .py plug-in script and can't easily sort that out ahead of time.) I've noticed that in the YouTube take-down case, PMS's built-in YouTube Service does not gracefully handle the situation, but instead times out with "Channel not responding." Any easy fix to that?
[REL] Full Movies Now
Full Movies Now (aka Full Movies on YouTube)
What is Full Movies Now?
Full Movies Now is a plugin for Plex that gives you easy access to movies hosted on YouTube and indexed by Full Movies Now. Development has just started and the plugin code is in very early beta status.
How do I install Full Movies Now?
See the support article "How do I manually install a channel?" over at the Plex support website.
Where do I download Full Movies Now?
You can download the latest copy of the agent from Github: releases
If the plugin is stable enough after a while, I'll add it to the Unsupported AppStore.
Where do I report issues?
Post in this release thread or create an issue on Github and add as much information as possible:
- Plex Media Server version, OS, Plex client being used etc.
- Log files, com.plexapp.plugins.fullmoviesnow.log
Please do not report issues about:
- Movies with 0 sources (unless all movies have 0 sources).
- Low audio or video quality of movies.
- Trailers mistaken for movies showing up in the list.
- Movies with an audiotrack in a different language then expected.
- Subtitles (if they show up they're burned in, other then that channels do not support subtitles).
To-do
- Add options to browse by genre and year.
- Add search option, if possible.
Can't choose HD stream (720p) on BBC Iplayer on latest PMS versions on Roku
With the last two PMS releases, I lose the ability to choose the HD versions of shows via Roku.
Version 0.9.16.4 is the last one on which it seems to work. Before, it would choose the highest quality that met with the streaming quality I set in the server settings, but with the last two releases it automatically chooses an SD stream and has removed the version option from within the menu. If I view the same item on the servers desktop side, I can choose the resolution from the new "Quality" button on the bottom right of the video pane, but there's no analogous button on the Roku side.
I'm running PMS on Linux Mint 17.1
Roku 3 - 4200X
Vimeo Channel no login preference
I am running plex on mac os x (10.11.6) and added the vimeo channel. I don't see anywhere to provide my vimeo credentials. Plex will connect but doesn't see my vimeo account videos because I restrict them. In plex, where can I provide my vimeo login credentials so that I can have plex view and search my personal vimeo videos?
[REL] The New York Times
The New York Times
News and opinion video from The New York Times including breaking news, investigative reporting, national and international coverage.
How to install?
The New York Times channel is available in the Channel Directory.
Where do I report issues?
Post in this release thread or create an issue on Github and add as much information as possible:
- Plex Media Server version, OS, Plex client being used etc.
- Your location in the world (important for certain channels that grab content from content providers that use geo-blocking)
- Log files, com.plexapp.plugins.thenytimes.log
and com.plexapp.system.log
(upload those to Pastebin)
[REL] WebTools 2.x
About:
WebTools 2.x is a collection of utilities to help with the management of your Plex Server.
This plugin is not limited to the usual channel interface. Instead, it utilizes a built-in webserver to display a responsive web interface which also works on mobile devices, allowing you to manage your Plex Server from any device.
This tool was created by Dagalufh (Frontend) and Dane22 (Backend) with the beta testing from:
- OttoKerner
- sa2000
- trumpy81
- Xandi92
- chuckpa
Currently the tools available are:
Logviewer
Subtitle Management
- Unsupported AppStore
- FindMedia
Logviewer
This tool allows for easy viewing of logs related to Plex and it's plugins via an easy to use web interface. It also gives you the ability to download all of the logs in a .zip file to easily send to a developer of a specific plugin.
(This includes logs of 3rd party plugins, contrary to the Log download button in Plex Web.)
Subtitle Management
The purpose of this tool is to give the user a way to manage subtitles that are not embedded.
Current features:
- View the content of a subtitle file for easier identification.
- Highlights the subtitle that is selected as active in Plex for a specific Movie or Episode
- Removal of one or more subtitles. Usage is on your own risk as this will delete files on your hard drive.
Unsupported AppStore (UAS)
This tool was originally created by mikedm139 and was one of the most popular plugins in the Plex universe. Now, this is included in WebTools 2.0, giving it an easy to use web interface that allows for quick installation/removal/update of plugins.
For more information, please visit the UnsupportedAppStore thread
FindMedia
This tool will quickly search a library, and then compare the items in the Plex database to the actually accessible media files on disk. It will then list all missing items from either the Plex Media Server database, or from your file system. This tool combines the outcome from the 3rd party plugins "Find-Missing" and "Find-Unmatched".
Find-Unmatched is due to that discontinued, and removed from UAS.
User Guide:
It's with great pride, that we can announce, that one of the most dedicated Ninja's up here ( @trumpy81 ) has made a user guide, to the benefit of us all. It's fully integrated into WebTools and can be accessed via the help menu.
Installation:
Installation of WebTools is sadly a manual process, so here's what to do:
- Download WebTools from GitHub, and select the file named WebTools.bundle.zip.
- Extract it, and make sure, that the extracted directory is named: WebTools.bundle, it must end with .bundle
- Make sure that inside the extracted directory, is a directory named "Contents", and if not, you might be a directory too low or high. If so, reorganize the folders with their contents.
- Locate the plug-in folder of your Plex Media Server. For a support article about where that is, look here: https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/202915258-Where-is-the-Plex-Media-Server-data-directory-located-
- Copy the organised folder from above to the plugin directory
The directory structure should look like this:
Plugins
|_ WebTools.bundle
|_ Contents
Now wait a couple of minutes, and then check in the channels directory to see if you have a channel named WebTools. If not, restart the Plex Media Server.
Note:
You can also use the EasyInstaller if your Plex Media Server is running on:
- AsuStore
- QNAP
- Synology
- Windows
If running Docker, this might be helpful
3rd party article about how to install
Official Wiki
Usage:
To use this plugin, just type http://<Your-PMS-IP>:33400 into your browser's address bar.
It's a good idea to bookmark it.
The initial screen will be different, depending on your PMS setup:
- If you are signed in to Plex.tv on your PMS, you use the same credentials here as it authenticates towards Plex.tv
- If you are not signed in to Plex.tv, and it’s your first launch, you are required to set a password to use when accessing WebTools. This can later be changed from within the tool if you need to. On all the consecutive visits to WebTools you will use that password.
After login you are presented with a list of available tools:
LogViewer
When accessing this tool it loads up the Plex Media Server log. You can then via the drop-down select the log you wish to see.
There are no extra preferences available for this tool.
Subtitle Management
When accessing this tool it fetches a list of available libraries and populates a menu at the top.
By selecting one of the libraries, the tool starts to fetch a set amount of data and presents it to you.
If it’s a TV library, you can continue moving down the tree until you hit an episode
You can then select one or more subtitles for removal, view a subtitle, or upload a new one
This tool offers some extra preferences other than the default for WebTools, refer to the built-in help file for more details
Unsupported AppStore
See separate thread about usage for this over here

[REL] PrimeWire
This is a rewritten version for PrimeWire. It's KISS: you can browse and watch movies and TV Shows, that's it B) I might add some more video providers, but I'm not going to add any other options to this.
NOTES
- THIS PROBABLY DOES NOT WORK IN THE UK
- REMOVE ANY AND ALL OTHER "LET ME WATCH THIS" CHANNELS BEFORE INSTALLING THIS ONE
- ALWAYS TRY THE PRIMEWIRE URL YOU'VE CONFIGURED IN A WEB BROWSER BEFORE POSTING "IT DOES NOT WORK". MAYBE YOU ARE BLOCKED OR THE SOURCE SITE IT DOWN!

How to install this channel
See the following support article: How do I manually install a channel?
Do not forget the step to restart Plex Media Server!
Why is the channel directory blank?
I've seen this question ( and this sentence) multiple times with dates that go back and couple of years and there's never an answer or fix.
There are no channels in my directory. It's blank. Nothing. Nada.
I've cleared, cleaned, updated , restarted and reinstalled any and everything there is.
Still nothing.
Why is this still an issue, and is there some trick to being able to actually see what channels are available.
Kind of sucks playing for Plex Pass and not having access to anything.
