This is the official thread for an agent named srt2utf-8

 

If you are having the problem, that national characters in your subtitles, that are not embedded in the movie, but either downloaded by yourself and put next to the movie (Sidecar SRT) or a subtitle automatically fetched by the  Open-Subtitle Agent, are displayed as garbage, then this Agent might be the answer for you!

 

In short, it'll make sure, that your subtitle files are encoded in utf-8, so national character-sets doesn't show as garbage in the players

Sync and control your Philips Hue lights with Plex!

Credits
This Channel is based on PlexWink by @vanstinator.

Behavior

This channel detects when a media is playing, paused or stopped on your Plex Clients. Then it checks if it's a video, the client name, and the user who owns the stream. If it matches your criteria it triggers your lights with the actions you have set up.
You can also turn your lights on and off inside the channel.

Configuration

The config is pretty simple and only needs to be done once. Configure your settings following the details below.
One room is composed of one client, one or multiple users and one or multiple lights, as well as the actions : on play, on stop, on pause, dim value, and only trigger if it's dark outside.

  • Plex.tv login is your Plex login.

  • Plex.tv passwords is your Plex password. It is only sent to plex.tv to get an identification token (so you must have a working internet access).

  • Plex Server Address is the local adress to reach your server.
  • Philips Hue Bridge Address is the ip address of your Philips Bridge.
  • Nearest city from your location Used to calculate to calculate sunrise/sunset hours at your location.
  • Activate HelloHue in room 1 Tick to activate room 1 (and fill the client, users and lights settings for room 1).
  • Name of plex client able to trigger in room 1 You can find the list of users in PMS -> settings -> devices. Only put ONE client per room. If your have two clients in the same room, activate an other room and fill the settings with the other clients name and the same lights names.
  • Name of the users able to trigger in room 1 You can find the list of users in PMS -> settings -> users -> myhome. You can put multiple users (comma separated values, case sensitive).
  • Name of the lights to trigger in room 1 is the list of lights that will be triggered in room 1. You can put multiple users (comma separated values, case sensitive).
  • When a media is playing in room 1 is the action that will fire when a media is playing in room 1.
  • When a media is paused in room 1 is the action that will fire when a media is paused in room 1.
  • When a media is stopped in room 1 is the action that will fire when a media is stopped in room 1.
  • Choose dim value in room 1 is the value your lights will dim to. (20 is the min brightness and 240 is max)
  • Randomize hue and saturation on Dim/Turn On in room 1 will randomize your light color each time the action turn on or dim is fired.
  • Only trigger lights if it's dark outside in room 1 Tick to only trigger your lights between sunrise and sunset.
  • Activate HelloHue in room 2 Same thing as Activate HelloHue in room 1 ...
  • ...

Usage

How to install:

  • go to Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins/

  • If existing, delete HelloHue.bundle

  • get the release you want from https://github.com/ledge74/HelloHue/releases
  • unzip the release
  • restart your plex media server!!!
  • more indepth: see article on Plex website.

On first run:

  1. Configure your Channel preferences (see above for help, make sure that you are connected to the internet as the channel will request a token from plex.tv)
  2. Go to the channel (on any device)
  3. If you see, Press button and your bridge and click to connect click on this menu AFTER having pressed the physical button of your bridge.
  4. The click on Advanced --> Restart HelloHue
  5. If you see the menu My Lights then you are all good!
  6. Enjoy :)

Use the channel:

  • My Lights allows you to trigger your lights from the channel

  • Enable HelloHue disable the channel (stop listening to items being played)

  • Disable HelloHue resumes the channel (start listening to items being played)
  • Advanced --> ```Restart HelloHue`` takes into account your new Plex.TV login/password if you updated it in the channel settings.

Known issues

  • When stopping a media on PHT (for mac), the action will take some time (a few minutes). This is linked to a bug in PHT or PMS. --> use OpenPHT to fix this issue

  • HelloHue doesn't work with PlexBMC

Home Page - latest version

ComicReader is a Plex Channel that allows you to serve comic book archives that are stored on your server.

Currently it supports CBZ, CBR, and CB7 comic archives. CBZ is supported natively, while CBR and CB7 require unrar and 7zip. See the Readme on github for details.

The channel doesn't use a database or metadata, it just acts like a file browser that starts at the directory you specify in the channels preferences.

Features:

Search & Search Queue

Bookmarking (...is based on Channel #. If a Channel # gets reassigned on the website it will point to the new Channel.)

Pins (Since listing/redirects can change day by day, pin uses the final channel url)

Updater (read below for compatibility with your OS)

Parental Control (Access Control) one can set permanent access option under the Channel Preferences. For Temporary Access (available via all Clients) set an Access Key under Preference first (default is 00000). Then from any Client navigate to Access Control > Set Access Key and enter the same Key. Clear the Key when finished viewing. Note: Preferences only works using the web interface. Access Control is also used by Updater.

      • Windows - (Updater works)
      • Linux (Ubuntu) - (Updater to work - cd to Plex Plugin's dir & use 'sudo chown -R plex:plex CcloudTv.bundle')

Known issues and future development:

  • Some channels will not play, if so check the cCloud Tv website in the web-browser before reporting with an issue.
  • Currently Radio Channels will not work - support to be added Support added
  • Compatible devices and limitations - Transcoder support is a work in progress

Installation:

  • Download the latest version of the plugin from https://github.com/coder-alpha/CcloudTv.bundle.
  • Unzip and rename folder to "CcloudTv.bundle"
  • Delete any previous versions of this bundle
  • Copy CcloudTv.bundle into the Plex Media Server plugins directory under your user account:

    • Windows 7, Vista, or Server 2008: C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Plug-ins
    • Windows XP, Server 2003, or Home Server: C:\Documents and Settings\[Your Username]\Local Settings\Application Data\Plex Media Server\Plug-ins
    • Mac/Linux: ~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins
  • Restart Plex Media Server 


How To Use:

  • No configuration required, however, one can set a private database web url under Preferences. Refer post #2 below.
  • Set the CcloudTv web url (below post #2) before usage without trailing slash under Preferences (Restart App maybe required) and might only work using the Plex-Web as reported - still not clear how to set web url -  click here
  • Search using Channel name 'CNN', Channel number '07', Channel range '5~15'
  • Tip - Search using '1~10', '11~19', '20~29' and so on... to create Search Queue filters for easy navigation

Troubleshooting & FAQs


If you have issues playing gamepass or gamerewind content make sure you have the quality settings set higher than the quality of stream that you are trying to play. e.g the highest quality that NFL offer is 4.5mbps 720p, so you need to have the quality settings in your plex player above 4.5mbps for it to play.

Clients that support encrypted HLS streams and can play live streams from this channel (regardless of PMS OS e.g. Mac, windows etc):

- Plex/iOS

- Plex Media Player
- PlexConnect
- Plex/Roku
- Plex Samsung Smart Hub (2011 or later)
- PS4
- Plex/Android (Seems dependant on certain settings and version of android so make sure you are up to date. Also try turning off experimental player in plex android settings)
- Plex/Amazon Fire TV

- Plex Client in Windows Store
- Possibly other DNLA clients? (Please post if you get live streams to work from this channel on clients not listed)

Q: I get an error message saying "Cannot play media" when playing live content from NFL Gamepass?

A: This is most likely because you are using a client that does not support encrypted HLS streams. See the above list for clients that support encrypted HLS.

Q: I get an error message saying "Cannot play media" when playing archived AND live content from NFL Gamepass or NFL Game Rewind?

A: Check your plex client preferences. You need to have the quality settings set higher than the quality of video you are trying to play. The highest quality that the NFL offer is 4.5mbps 720p, so have your quality settings higher than that.


Q: I'm using a VPN/Proxy/DNS service to give me access to NFL Gamepass but getting some problems, what can I do?

A: This will most likely be an issue with your VPN/Proxy/DNS service, you will need to take this issue to there support or start a separate thread in the forum. Please can I ask that you don't post any issues about this in this thread. I don't like this to be discussed as it breaks US/international copyright laws. Equally it would be hard to support something that is most likely an unrelated problem to the functionality of this channel.

A: It is in the official Plex Channel Directory within a plex app or plex/web.

Current issues with Channel (do not post about these issues if listed here)

- (Gamepass) NFL Network Archived shows not working on Samsung.

- (Gamepass) No Gamepass content working on latest iOS Plex app due to a bug in the Plex App. Plex iOS team are working on it. However Plex/Web does work on Safari/iOS.

- (Gamepass) Plex/Web generally doesn't work with most popular browsers but I'm sure some web browsers are fine, apparently Microsoft Edge on Win10 is an example of a working browser.

- (Gamepass) Experimental player needs to be off for content to work on Plex/Android.

To use USTVNOW make sure to have a free account (or paid account) and type your username/password in preferences. SD/HD streams and option to show free/paid channels for ustvnow in preferences. All Filmon UK channels anywhere in the world without using a VPN. 100+ channels.

(01/16/2016) A few Bug fixes and added an option to choose between four different quality streams for USTVNOW. Also added nine new channels in the USATV category.

(01/21/2016) Added a Canadian category with 8 channels. Global BC, Global Toronto, Global Halifax. The Weather Network Canada, CTV Edmonton, CTV Regina, CTV Yorkton, and CTV Lethbridge.

(03/02/2016) There is no longer an EPG because locatetv.com is shutting down. There may be another in the future but I don't have the time to find a new solution. Added a few new channels and fixed a typo that kept My9 from working.

This is the official thread for

Plex2CSV

What this little app/channel can do, is simply to export your library sections into CSV files, allowing you to open up the exported files in like Excel or siml. afterwards.

Do note, that when doing so, to set the encoding to UTF-8

This plug-in will always be considered "a work in progress", and will change rapidly, if devs get an idea, or you guy's suggest something, so fire away

And can currently only export Movie and TV-Show and Audio sections

Hi, I just installed IPTV on my Windows 10 PLEX and have a USA list of channels and an Int'l list. 1) Now that I have these list, where do I put them so that IPTV will see them? 2) Do I give each a name? 3) some of the http listings have different extensions, i.e., m3u, m3u8. Can IPTV play both of them? Some items on the list start with rtmp: instead of http: some have mms: Do these things make any difference to IPTV? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

This is a plugin that creates a new channel in Plex Media Server to view content indexed by the website G2G.fm.

Note: The author of this plugin has no affiliation with G2G.fm or the owners of the content that it indexes.

How To Install

Or

  • Download the latest version of the plugin.

  • Unzip and rename folder to "G2Gfm.bundle"

  • Copy G2Gfm.bundle into the PMS plugins directory under your user account:

    • Windows 7, Vista, or Server 2008: C:\Users[Your Username]\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Plug-ins
    • Windows XP, Server 2003, or Home Server: C:\Documents and Settings[Your Username]\Local Settings\Application Data\Plex Media Server\Plug-ins
    • Mac/Linux: ~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins

  • Restart PMS


Known Issues
  • No item summaries.
  • No metadata info on final video page.
  • Source website has missing videos for some older content.

Note: This is an Adult channel to view Japanese Adult Videos (JAV).

This plugin creates a new Video Channel within Plex Media Server (PMS) to view content from javhihi.com. It is currently under development and as such, should be considered alpha software and potentially unstable.

How To Install

  5. Restart PMS

Guys
I have fully rewritten the TuneIn channel
Now it plays fine almost all stations and shows.
It also lists a user stations separately and even custom streams (user added to his tunein account)
