Hi guys,
Since years I am running several plex servers with various configurations to multi-stream SD/FHD/UHD contents.

For a while now I am looking to find solutions for stream TV channels from my own country: I come from Romania but I currently live in Switzerland, and the LiveTV streaming is not intended for any of my users, but just me.

I have so far used IPTV.bundle but the IPTV channel lists I have, so far, used proved highly unreliable (either free or payed).

As I benefit from high connection speeds in both countries (300Mps+) I am looking into using the DVB-T/T2 signal, building a new Plex server, deploy it in my home country, and consume it with PLEX clients. From what I have read, there are several solutions (each with drawbacks and avantages), therefore I would appreciate any suggestions/comments, before I start purchasing the hardware, from users that have experience with any of the following:

• dreambox/vu+ with dreamplex plugin.
  (it has the advantage that the hardware is highly configurable, but is also the most expensive solution and unfortunately the pluggin hasn't seen many updates since a long time)

• dvbLink with dvblink-plex-client
  (this is the cheapest of them all, supports DVB-T/T2 which is what I am primarly interested in, but the pluging sees moderate updates)

• hdhomerun Connect with HDHRViewer2 or HDGrandSlam plugins
  (this is not the cheapest nor the most expensive solution, and both plugins have so far been steadily updated)

Any other solutions are also apreciated but the must have is the streaming in high quality of the romanian channels.

Introduction

Hey there,

Some of you may have followed the recent development on the original Subliminal.bundle by @bramwalet.

I've made some serious changes, improvements and bugfixes to Subliminal.bundle during the last few weeks, with the help of some very nice people such as @PMAdmin, @chopeta, @BlueToxic and others.

As the direction of this project has moved a long way, I thought it was time to evolve from simply being a personal fork of Subliminal.bundle to something more dedicated.

Plugin Description

Sub-Zero aims to solve your subtitle problems by automatically downloading the hopefully best subtitles there are, for your individual video file.

Subtitles are a problem? Yep, they definitely are. I myself use this plugin on a daily basis as my wife has a serious hearing condition where subtitles help us to be able to watch our favourite TV series and movies together. Subtitles pose a generic struggle: matching your media file perfectly. This is as hard as it gets. Thankfully there are a bunch of libraries and services out there, that help with that.

Sub-Zero is far from being perfect, but with recent development and planned features, we're really getting there.

Its core is based on the works of Diaoul, who created the subliminal library, as well as enzyme, to parse MKV metadata. In addition to that Sub-Zero uses the extremely well-made guessit library made by wackou.

Sub-Zero still is under heavy development but has recently reached a stable state. I need you to report bugs and tell me your opinion on new features.

It currently supports the following subtitle providers:

• Addic7ed (TV)
• opensubtitles (TV, movies)
• Podnapisi (TV, movies)
• TVsubtitles.net (TV)
• The SubDB (TV, movies)

Automatic Installation

• Sub-Zero now is listed in the official Plex Channel Directory. You can install it from there.

Manual Installation

• go to Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins/
• remove old versions (rm -r Sub-Zero.bundle)
• get the current version from here
• unpack it
• restart your plex media server!

Usage

• go to Settings -> Server -> Agents -> Movies/TV Shows
• select the metadata provider you use on your library, e.g.: Freebase (movies) or TheTVDB (series)
• enable Sub-Zero Subtitles (TV/Movies)
• configure them
• refresh your library (or individual movies/TV shows)

Use the following agent order:

1. Sub-Zero Subtitles (TV/Movies)
2. Local Media Assets (TV/Movies)
3. anything else

Known issues:

• Since there is no way to give user feedback about the current progress of the background downloading, when pressing the final play button, be a bit patient. You can also try pressing play again as most client tend to have an internal timeout.
• No subtitles yet as channels don't support subtitles yet.

You can use this thread to report issues but the GitHub repository would be a better place. Also, pull requests for bug-fixing and new features are always welcome. Same goes for donations

beeg is a plugin for Plex that gives you access to pr0n videos from beeg.com.

How do I install beeg?

MUVIO

What is MUVIO?

MUVIO is an "Extras" agent for Plex Media Server that tries to find music video clips for your music library. The current version of this agent works with Last.fm and Plex Premium Music libraries.

How do I install MUVIO?

You can install MUVIO:

• From within the Unsupported AppStore, or:
• Manually: See the support article "How do I manually install a channel?" over at the Plex support website.

After installation:

1. Activate the agent in Settings > Server > Agents.
2. Use the Refresh All option on your music library to let MUVIO collect and add video clips.

Where do I report issues?

Create an issue on Github and add as much information as possible:
- Plex Media Server version
- Primary agent and order of any secondary agents
- Log files, com.plexapp.agents.muvio.log

I installed the BitTorrent channel and it was working on my server and through Roku client. Installed PIA and it stopped working. Stopped the PIA connection and still cannot get BitTorrent channel working on the server or Roku client. Restarted server and Roku and still no luck. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot/debug?

I think I'm in the right place, I'm looking for help with the TV channels that you can add to plex.

I enjoy watching shows on TheCW, ABC, and CBS

CBS streaming quality is pretty good.
ABC - it's alright, but it could be better.
CW - horrible quality, the audio is tinny and the video is so pixelated that it's impossible to watch.

I have tried streaming on my computer and to my Chromecast (2nd gen) the video quality is the same on both devices.
I have tried two different networks, my local home network and on a friend's network accessing Plex remotely.

There's no buffering issues, both internet connections are 100mbps or better, the bitrate sucks and there's no HD/HQ stream options.

Any tips?

The Unsupported Appstore (UAS) is a plugin running under the WebTools bundle, and is meant to ease the process of finding, downloading, installing, updating and (if need be) uninstalling unsupported Plex plugins.

Please note that the plugins available here-in are not supported by the Plex Media Server "Plex Online" store for a reason (possibly more than one reason). UAS V1 compared to V2:

The main differences between the two versions are:

• V1 is no longer working, and disabled on GitHub
• V2 interface is not limited to a regular channel interface, but is a responsive interface, that also works from mobile devices
• V2 does not automatically update outdated plugins. You have to initiate that from within the UAS V2 interface

What is the meaning of this thread?

To use UAS, browse to <"Your-PMS-IP-Address":33400>

After you have logged in, you are presented with the main screen, where among the modules you will find the "Unsupported AppStore"

Then, when clicking on the UAS link, you should see:

HDHR viewer stopped working, getting message "cannot load m3eu8: 404 not found." It had been working with no problems for about 6 months. Decided to try HDHR viewerV2. Get exact same message. I am currently using PMS 1.4.3.3433 but I also tried using PMS 1.4.4.3495 and got same message. I am using Win 7 64bit, Home Premium on server. My HDHomeRun is the PRIME with 3 tuners and cablecard. The HDHomerun is working fine in both Windows Media Center and HDHomerun View. Any help would be appreciated. I have included most recent Plex Log.

I am releasing a Google Music channel that should work for all Plex clients. I forked the current channel created by the user Maik and added a bunch of new features. If anyone has any issues please post your log files and I will be happy to take a look. Also, if you have any request for new features please let me know. I will be sending out a request to get this added to the Unsupported Appstore as well.

I see where it talks about an IPTV plug in but not where to get it?

After updating server to 1.4.3, now find several channels not working (FOX, ABC, NBC, CW) on Chrome. Shows will pop up, but will get "Problem playing this item" error. Strangely my Samsung can still play CW shows, but other channels no longer work either. Running Kubuntu 14 on desktop machine. All this stuff worked fine until the update. Played around with various direct play/ direct stream/ html settings but no joy. Hopefully there's some simple settings I need to adjust, but at a loss for now. Attached log. Thanks for help.

I haven't seen anyone bring this up but is there a Seeso Channel plugin out there? It would be great so I don't need to go to the Seeso app on my AppleTV and could do it right in Plex.

This is a plugin that creates a new channel in Plex Media Server (PMS) to view content from hanime.tv. It is currently under development and as such, should be considered alpha software and potentially unstable.

Note: The author of this plugin has no affiliation with hanime.tv site nor the owners of the content that they host.

SS Plex seems to delete my saved favorite shows on a regular basis. It also sometimes just adds random content.
