[REQ] tubitv

$

Hi,
I was wondering if anybody would be interested and willing to make a channel plug-in for this site http://www.tubitv.com/

Hey Tubi TV Fan:

You asked and we responded . . . the unveiling of our Tubi TV Web and iOS mobile beta apps is now here.

Now you can enjoy the largest streaming library of free Movies and TV Shows on your desktop, iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, as well as on your Tubi TV Connected TV app.

it's similar to Crackle and has a lot of (all legal) content with a mix of movies and tv that range from big name hits like Spaced and Father Ted to relatively unknown things. It already has quite a lot of content and is supposedly going to keep growing until it has the largest amount of free, legal content tubitv wants to take on crackle with free movies and tv shows. It has been on Roku and a few other platforms for a while now but they have just launched the online site and I think it would be a good addition to Plex.

Thank you

Plex Home users channel access

$

Pretty new to all this, so apologies if I'm being dumb...

I've searched and found lots of threads explaining about the difficulties of sharing plex channels with users outside your network; but nothing which explicitly explains the deal with Plex Home users.

I've got what I guess is a pretty typical setup

  • a master (plex pass) account which can access everything.
  • an additional home user account, which is for my young children to use (I've shared TV and Movies with them and filtered by ratings).
  • nobody outside the home network is setup with access (just devices on our network)

All works great

But on the master account I've been looking at a couple of channels, including the Nick Jnr channel.
I'd like my children to be able to access this when they log into their plex home account; but can't find any way to allow home users to access channels (when logged into their account and I attempt to browse channels I get an error: GETDIRECTORY FAILED FOR plexserver://channeldirectory").

Am I trying to do something which isn't currently supported; or just doing something wrong ?

  • any pointers appreciated.

It has been long in the making, but here we go. Credit to Cigaras for his base that I could work on.

There is a lack of good IPTV in Plex, and our team have been trying to combat that.

PlexTips presents.. MultiPLEX. The ultimate IPTV solution in Plex. (Open Beta)

You can read more and download it here.

What makes this a worthy successor to channels like CCLoud and XTV, I hear you ask:

  • Actively updated streams constantly adding more,
  • Playlist is hosted externally, so when a link goes down, we can upload another without you needing to update the plug-in,
  • HD and SD streams, so you can watch even if your internet isn’t great,
  • Most sport channels (more coming soon),
  • All of the UK BBC Channels
  • All stream are categorized, so it stays well-organized
Works in almost every client, apart from plex web

Introduction

Hey there,

Some of you may have followed the recent development on the original Subliminal.bundle by @bramwalet.

I've made some serious changes, improvements and bugfixes to Subliminal.bundle during the last few weeks, with the help of some very nice people such as @PMAdmin, @chopeta, @BlueToxic and others.

As the direction of this project has moved a long way, I thought it was time to evolve from simply being a personal fork of Subliminal.bundle to something more dedicated.

Plugin Description

Sub-Zero aims to solve your subtitle problems by automatically downloading the hopefully best subtitles there are, for your individual video file.

Subtitles are a problem? Yep, they definitely are. I myself use this plugin on a daily basis as my wife has a serious hearing condition where subtitles help us to be able to watch our favourite TV series and movies together. Subtitles pose a generic struggle: matching your media file perfectly. This is as hard as it gets. Thankfully there are a bunch of libraries and services out there, that help with that.

Sub-Zero is far from being perfect, but with recent development and planned features, we're really getting there.

Its core is based on the works of Diaoul, who created the subliminal library, as well as enzyme, to parse MKV metadata. In addition to that Sub-Zero uses the extremely well-made guessit library made by wackou.

Sub-Zero still is under heavy development but has recently reached a stable state. I need you to report bugs and tell me your opinion on new features.

It currently supports the following subtitle providers:

She was referred to Exodus but seems like a Kodi specific add-on. Is anything like that for Plex?

Just Installed PMS Version 1.4.3.3433 and CBS Channel Will Not Play Shows

$

Hi folks, I started PMS last night on my Windows 10 PC and realized I needed to update. Since then I have had many issues. Long story short, I completely uninstalled PMS (including registry and appdata) and reinstalled.

I only have two channels, CBS and the CW. The CW channel works great. In the CBS channel I can navigate easily to all the shows, but they won't play. It just keep showing the "sphincter of doom" forever.

I am not sure what to try next. It worked just fine until I updated PMS. I also use the Plex Roku app. I am not sure how to share it but I found the plugin log for CBS.

Thank you for any insights.

Has anyone had any luck getting this channel to wok? All the channels after updates seem to work fine, the NFL, Cbs etc were problematic but with the latest updates and nothing on my end they are working perfect. I have uninstalled this channel, deleted it from the plugin folder and reinstall but nothing, no shows work. I have also posted my logs here and was told it was my client and post in google play forum, But I just wonder why all the rest work. Thanks for any respond. I am using the Costar and google play

[REL] WebTools 2.x

$

0

About:

WebTools 2.x is a collection of utilities to help with the management of your Plex Server.
This plugin is not limited to the usual channel interface. Instead, it utilizes a built-in webserver to display a responsive web interface which also works on mobile devices, allowing you to manage your Plex Server from any device.

This tool was created by Dagalufh (Frontend), omc1000 (Frontend) and Dane22 (Backend) with the beta testing from:

  • OttoKerner
  • sa2000
  • trumpy81
  • Xandi92
  • chuckpa

Currently the tools available are:

  • Logviewer
  • Subtitle Management
  • Unsupported AppStore
  • FindMedia

Logviewer

This tool allows for easy viewing of logs related to Plex and it's plugins via an easy to use web interface. It also gives you the ability to download all of the logs in a .zip file to easily send to a developer of a specific plugin.
(This includes logs of 3rd party plugins, contrary to the Log download button in Plex Web.)

Subtitle Management

The purpose of this tool is to give the user a way to manage subtitles that are not embedded.

Current features:
* View the content of a subtitle file for easier identification.
* Highlights the subtitle that is selected as active in Plex for a specific Movie or Episode
* Removal of one or more subtitles. Usage is on your own risk as this will delete files on your hard drive.

Unsupported AppStore (UAS)

This tool was originally created by mikedm139 and was one of the most popular plugins in the Plex universe. Now, this is included in WebTools 2.0, giving it an easy to use web interface that allows for quick installation/removal/update of plugins.

For more information, please visit the UnsupportedAppStore thread

FindMedia

This tool will quickly search a library, and then compare the items in the Plex database to the actually accessible media files on disk. It will then list all missing items from either the Plex Media Server database, or from your file system. This tool combines the outcome from the 3rd party plugins "Find-Missing" and "Find-Unmatched".
Find-Unmatched is due to that discontinued, and removed from UAS.

User Guide:

It's with great pride, that we can announce, that one of the most dedicated Ninja's up here ( @trumpy81 ) has made a user guide, to the benefit of us all. It's fully integrated into WebTools and can be accessed via the help menu.

Installation:

Installation of WebTools is sadly a manual process, so here's what to do:

  • Download WebTools from GitHub, and select the file named WebTools.bundle.zip.
  • Extract it, and make sure, that the extracted directory is named: WebTools.bundle, it must end with .bundle
  • Make sure that inside the extracted directory, is a directory named "Contents", and if not, you might be a directory too low or high. If so, reorganize the folders with their contents.
  • Locate the plug-in folder of your Plex Media Server. For a support article about where that is, look here: https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/202915258-Where-is-the-Plex-Media-Server-data-directory-located-
  • Copy the organised folder from above to the plugin directory

The directory structure should look like this:

Plugins
   |_ WebTools.bundle
      |_ Contents

Now wait a couple of minutes, and then check in the channels directory to see if you have a channel named WebTools. If not, restart the Plex Media Server.

Note:

You can also use the EasyInstaller if your Plex Media Server is running on:

  • AsuStore
  • QNAP
  • Synology
  • Windows

If running Docker, this might be helpful
3rd party article about how to install
Official Wiki

If running Raspberry Pi, check out this comment:
https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/1368888/#Comment_1368888

Usage:

To use this plugin, just type http://<Your-PMS-IP>:33400 into your browser's address bar.
It's a good idea to bookmark it.
The initial screen will be different, depending on your PMS setup:

  • If you are signed in to Plex.tv on your PMS, you use the same credentials here as it authenticates towards Plex.tv
  • If you are not signed in to Plex.tv, and it’s your first launch, you are required to set a password to use when accessing WebTools. This can later be changed from within the tool if you need to. On all the consecutive visits to WebTools you will use that password.

After login you are presented with a list of available tools:

LogViewer

When accessing this tool it loads up the Plex Media Server log. You can then via the drop-down select the log you wish to see.
There are no extra preferences available for this tool.

Subtitle Management

When accessing this tool it fetches a list of available libraries and populates a menu at the top.
By selecting one of the libraries, the tool starts to fetch a set amount of data and presents it to you.
If it’s a TV library, you can continue moving down the tree until you hit an episode
You can then select one or more subtitles for removal, view a subtitle, or upload a new one
This tool offers some extra preferences other than the default for WebTools, refer to the built-in help file for more details

Unsupported AppStore

See separate thread about usage for this over here

Internal API

If you are a developer, and developing towards WT, then notice, that when version 3.0.0 is released, it'll be with a brand new API V3 as well. Current API will be discontinued in version 3.2.0
To see API documentation, look in Contents/Code/Docs

Issue with CBS plug in

$

Hello,

I'm hoping this is something simple, but I'm having an issue with the CBS channel/plugin on my Plex server. I have Plex running on a QNAP NAS box and the channel runs without issue (meaning I can view TV shows), on my Linux box (Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS), when I try to view a show on the CBS channel I get the error "Sorry, but we can't play this video. The original video may no longer be available, or it may be in a format that isn't supported." The other channels I have loaded seem to be working fine. I've tried to compare the settings on both servers and I'm can't find anything different. I would appreciate any help, this has been driving me nuts. I've attached the log files for both the plugin and the server.

Thanks,

Anibal

Common Sense Media

image

What is Common Sense Media?

Common Sense Media is a metadata agent for Plex Media Server that adds their recommended age as content rating. It will optionally add a short description as tagline and the Common Sense movie review to reviews.

Requirements

A Plex movie library with the Plex Movie agent or The Movie Database agent set as primary agent.

How do I install Common Sense Media?

You can install Common Sense Media:

Don't forget to activate the agent in Settings > Server > Agents after installing. Drag it all the way to the top of the list to prevent other agents from overruling the content rating.

Where do I download Common Sense Media?

If you want to install the agent manually or if you are interested in the source code, you can download the latest copy of the agent from Github: releases

Limitations and Known Issues

  • Due to not being able to grab certain data directly I had to build a small API that takes IMDb ids and returns required data. This API is still a bit slow due to a number of http requests it has to do. Lots of requests are cached, so the more the agent gets used, the faster it will become.

Where do I report issues?

Create an issue on Github and add as much information as possible:
- Plex Media Server version
- Primary agent and order of any secondary agents
- Log files, com.plexapp.agents.csm.log

What is Trailer Addict?

Trailer Addict is a metadata agent for Plex Media Server that tries to find trailers, interviews and behind the scenes videos for your movie library.

Requirements

A Plex movie library with the Plex Movie agent or The Movie Database agent set as primary agent.

How do I install Trailer Addict?

You can install Trailer Addict:

After installation:

  1. Activate the agent in Settings > Server > Agents.
  2. Use the Refresh All option on your library to let the agent collect and add trailers.

Where do I download Trailer Addict?

If you want to install the agent manually or if you are interested in the source code, you can download the latest copy of the agent from Github: releases

Limitations and Known Issues

  • Due to not being able to grab certain data directly I had to build a small API that converts IMDb ids to Trailer Addict ids. This API is still a bit slow due to a number of http requests it has to do. Lots of requests are cached, so the more the agent gets used, the faster it will become.
  • The source website does not offer preview images for the videos.

Where do I report issues?

- Plex Media Server version
- Primary agent and order of any secondary agents
