[REL] Google Music Channel

I am releasing a Google Music channel that should work for all Plex clients. I forked the current channel created by the user Maik and added a bunch of new features. If anyone has any issues please post your log files and I will be happy to take a look. Also, if you have any request for new features please let me know. I will be sending out a request to get this added to the Unsupported Appstore as well.

 

If you are running into any issues please post your log files. I won't be able to help you without them.

A first draft for your viewing pleasure

Hey everyone,
Early January I gave the very talented Sander a challenge, and we worked a week on it. The challenge was to try and create a Dreambox plugin which I could use in my setup which would fetch my cousins dreambox content.
I am pleased to say that we have a working first draft which you guys can tryout if you want to.

It uses the raw stream at a specific IP, but we also tried to build in support for having a transcoder at a seperate address in case people outside your network wants to view, but has limited bandwidth.
The development of that plugin is on hold at the moment, but you are welcome to try it out: https://github.com/sander1/Dreambox.bundle

Go into the plugin, choose preferences. In the host field you add the IP address to your dreambox. In the "web interface port" you add the port which the web interface uses. This plugin uses the web interface to change channels. The field called "Streaming video port" should contain the port from which you stream transcoded material (if any).

Maybe in the future Sander will have time to help me flesh this out, but for now this is what exists. Let me know how it works for you guys.


Limitations: This plugin is only tested with the web interface that is called Enigma Web Interface - Pli Edition. Until more development is done to support the Dreambox API, no other web interface will work I believe.

HDHR ViewerV2 on PR2100 ???

I've learned how to install this for live tv viewing on a PC Server but want to transfer this activity to a WD PR2100. Haven't found a way to do this. Is this a limitation of my knowledge of the WD and/or SSH commands or something not intended to be?

Can I stream Channels to a mobile device?

I am using a QNAP NAS with Plex installed. I have a good internet connection 300mbps down/ 100bps up.
What I can do. I can play downloaded movies/TV and Channels on my home server on any device - great.
But when away from the house. I can play downloaded movies/TV on my Android mobile device. I can also select Channels and choose content right up to hitting the play Icon. But usually what happens is tha after a few seconds I get a message "Error Playback has stopped because the connection to the Plex Media server has been lost ....... etc..... is available and retry"

So a question. Should playing Channels from when away my home server be possible ? If so, I would appreciate some hints. Possibly ports that I should open etc?

[REL] ArgusTV Metadata Agent

This is a Metadata Agent for ArgusTV Recording Software (http://www.argus-tv.com). It parses the metadata file from argus and adds the thumbnail as background image to PLEX.

Note
For this agent following setting needs to be enabled in ArgusTV:

  1. Automatically create thumbnails for all television recordings
  2. Always create .arg metadata files (also for NTFS volumes)

Both settings can be found in the settings of the ArgusTV Scheduler Console.

Is there a Good Samaritan out there that could look into why the Plex Ustvnow streams are broken? Hasn't worked since late last year and I know the original author has abandoned this script. Anyone? I'm open giving to PayPal donations!!!!!!!!

[REL] TV-Headend Next Generation

What can this channel do for you:

  • Stream TV from a TV-Headend service to web, mobile devices and Plex Home Theatre.
  • Choose between many different resolutions to reduce the datarate at mobile usage.
  • The tagged channels will be displayed as different bouquets.

 

What are the requirements?

  • Latest git checkout of TV-Headend. The new of the development introduced api is needed.
  • A little bit more cpu ressources, because this plugin relies on transcoding.

Wem das offizielle Plex-Plugin "Tagesschau" nicht ausreicht (zeigt die 20-Uhr-Sendungen der Tagesschau), findet vielleicht mein neues Plugin TagesschauXL nützlich.

Es bildet - mit Rücksicht auf die Möglichkeiten unter Plex - den Internetauftritt von http://www.tagesschau.de ab.
Gezeigt werden neben den Videos zu den einzelnen Sendeformaten auch Bilder, Bildserien, Radiobeiträge und der Livestream von tagesschau.de.
Daneben gibt es eine Suchfunktion sowie den Zugriff auf das Tagesschau-Archiv der letzten 30 Tage. Diese Archiv enthält übrigens auch die Sendungen "tagesschau vor 20 Jahren".

Rückmeldungen und Fehlerhinweise sind wie immer willkommen.

HDHR Viewer - This channel is not responding

Hello,

Decided to try the HDHR viewer Channel. It has worked in the past, but sporadically. Tried today but received 'This Channel is not Responding' message. On the Android app I'm receiving "This directory appears to be Empty" message.
Not sure where to look to troubleshoot. Running Plex Media Server 1.3.3.3148 on a Windows 10 Machine. All other Channels that i'm using work fine.

Any Ideas ?

ComicReader is a Plex Channel that allows you to serve comic book archives that are stored on your server.

Currently it supports CBZ, CBR, and CB7 comic archives. CBZ is supported natively, while CBR and CB7 require unrar and 7zip. See the Readme on github for details.

The channel doesn't use a database or metadata, it just acts like a file browser that starts at the directory you specify in the channels preferences.

CBS - Missing Shows?

I know CBS has been having quite a few issues lately with PMS v1.3.x, but I've also noticed there are some shows that are freely available to watch on CBS.com, like "Hunted", not showing in the Channel. Is anyone else seeing this issue?

What this little app/channel can do, is simply to export your library sections into csv or xlsx files, allowing you to open up the exported files in like Excel or siml. afterwards.
It also can export posters, in the size you decide

Currently exports Movie, TV-Show, Audio, Photo sections as well as playlists

Do note, that when doing so, to set the encoding to UTF-8 in excel, if exporting to csv.

This plug-in will always be considered "a work in progress", and will change rapidly, if devs get an idea, or you guy's suggest something, so fire away.

No option for install channels in plex media server

Hi, there are no obtions to install channels in my plex media server. If I go to settings - server--channels there is not button with install as I see in manuals help for Plex.

If I try to put plugin manualy into the plugin directory it does not show up in Agents.

Please :-) Help

HGTV not respnding

All full episodes of HGTV are missing. I reinstalled the channel and restarted the server. I get a message"this channel is not responding" Any ideas?

[REL] MTV Networks Channel - Channel for MTV, VH1, CMT and LogoTV

Here is a new channel I wrote for all of the MTV Network websites including MTV, VH1, CMT and LogoTV. This channel replaces the separate channels I have written earlier. Please delete the individual channels for MTV, VH1, CMT and LogoTV that you may have installed, since they will no longer be updated or maintained.

The channel is available from Github at https://github.com/shopgirl284/MTVNetworks.bundle. It will be added to the Unsupported Appstore v2 soon.

Client and Region Restrictions: .

This channel only works if you are located in United States, because the MTV Network websites chooses to region restrict its content to US only residents.

The website for this channel provides HLS videos. So if you are not using a Plex player app that supports HLS make sure you have transcoding enabled and have a Plex Media Server that can handle transcoding.

The full episodes in this channel may not work if your Plex player cannot handle videos with parts.
