So recently I bought a Samsung BD-Player UBD-K8500 which is using v2.007 of the Plex for Samsung app. I added a few channels and life was good... It went on for a month or so like this, with no problems... Until today.. Now yesterday the Plex Media Server updated to Version 1.5.5.3634 and it runs fine.. all the channels work fine on it, and all my videos playback. All my local media content also still plays on the BD-Player UBD-K8500, but the channels give me one of two errors...
Either:
Player does not support ' ' audio codec
or
Player does not support 'AAC' Audio codec...
The first I have no idea what it's talking about, and the second is blatantly wrong. It does indeed support AAC, as well as many other codecs... And it's odd..because I randomly get either of the messages, playing the SAME channel video file(s). Doesn't matter the channel, doesn't matter the video file.. It plays for about 4 - 5 seconds, with no audio, then the error pops up.. Direct Play, Direct Streaming, Transcoding.. no difference...
I'd really like to get this sorted, so that I can go back to watching different channels on my TV...
