RedditImages.bundle
a Plex Media Server channel for images/gif content from reddit.com
with services for imgur.com and gfycat.com content. gif type content is handled via the mp4 videos provided by the image hosts.
Tested with:
* Plex Web (chrome, edge, ie)
* Plex Media Player
* Plex Home Theater / OpenPHT - paging is disabled on these clients due to issues with NextPageObjects and photo slideshows.
* Plex for iOS
* Plex for Android - should support infinite scrolling galleries. though reddits api can be very slow at times.
Channel Preferences:
- Enable Animated - turn off to disable all video content
- Show NSFW - turn off to remove all nsfw content (according to reddit)
- Show Links From (time) - timeframe of posts to show. only works on /top and /controversial
- Items per page (default 25, max 100): The number of links per page.
Usage:
Currently the channel browses reddit anonymously, so you have to add subreddit paths yourself.
Multiple reddit paths can be imported by creating a paths.txt file in: Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Data/com.plexapp.plugins.redditimages/DataItems. Each line represents one entry, with the format name, path. path can be the full url or the subpath.
example paths.txt file:
pics subreddit, https://www.reddit.com/r/pics
gifs subreddit, /r/gifs
gifs and pics, /r/gifs+pics
user curated multi, /user/Username/m/multiname
Then load them by using the Import paths from paths.txt button in the channels main menu.
