How to post forked channel?

Hello all,

I have created two original Plex channels (Motherless [Plex Forum Post/GitHub] and eFukt [Plex Forum Post/GitHub]). I've also forked an old channel for PornHub (GitHub) which was no longer working, and completely re-wrote it. I'm wondering how/if I should be posting my forked version of the channel. I have just submitted a pull request, but the author (plex-unofficial) seems to be inactive for 5 years so I'm not exactly expecting it to get merged any time soon.

Being new to the forums, I'm wondering how I should handle sharing this channel. I'm seeing a few possibilities:

  • I can make a release thread like I've done for my two original channels, link directly to my fork, and if my pull request is ever merged I can update it

  • I could post a release thread and link to the original author's fork from 5 years ago and mention my pull request to point users to the updated code

  • I could sit patiently and hope the original author gets the notification of the pull request... But that seems silly :)

Just curious what you fine people would recommend I do. Out of curiosity, does anyone know who was behind the plex-unofficial GitHub account, and what happened? Was it related to the original Unsupported App Store? I'd love to have my code merged into theirs (and maybe even be listed as a contributor) if anyone knows who to poke to get this done. I just want to share my channel :)

Thanks!
