Just wanted to throw this out there to those who are interested. This plugin allows you to stream live TV from NextPVR - it's based on some of the code psyciknz wrote for NextPVR-Plex but mine only streams live TV. plex-npvr can handle subchannels (4.1,4.2, etc...) and the ability to have broadcaster logos displayed on the channel listing.

Won't even list content. Just goes to "This channel is not responding." Its the only one I use that doesn't seem to work.
I've removed and reinstalled the channel to see if that would resolve it. But still the same issue. Not showing in my installed channels list via the web console or my other plex agents. If I browse channels to download I can see the Tested channel and can remove it and reinstall. If I choose browse I get a message "this channel is not responding".
Anyone know if there's a problem with that channel at the moment or has it got corrupted on my plex server somehow?

This Channel is based on PlexWink by @vanstinator.
This channel detects when a media is playing, paused or stopped on your Plex Clients. Then it checks if it's a video, the client name, and the user who owns the stream. If it matches your criteria it triggers your lights with the actions you have set up.
You can also turn your lights on and off inside the channel.
The config is pretty simple and only needs to be done once. Configure your settings following the details below.
One room is composed of one client, one or multiple users and one or multiple lights, as well as the actions : on play, on stop, on pause, dim value, and only trigger if it's dark outside.
Plex.tv login is your Plex login.
Plex.tv passwords is your Plex password. It is only sent to plex.tv to get an identification token (so you must have a working internet access).
Plex Server Address is the local adress + port to reach your server (example : 127.0.0.1:32400).Philips Hue Bridge Address is the ip address of your Philips Bridge.Nearest city from your location Used to calculate to calculate sunrise/sunset hours at your location.Activate HelloHue in room 1 Tick to activate room 1 (and fill the client, users and lights settings for room 1).Name of plex client able to trigger in room 1 You can find the list of users in PMS -> settings -> devices. When stopping a media on PHT (for mac), the action will take some time (a few minutes). This is linked to a bug in PHT or PMS. --> use OpenPHT to fix this issue
HelloHue doesn't work with PlexBMC

By default on the Roku plex app I choose direct play.
However, for HDGrandslam I need it to automatically transcode, is there a setting within the channel config to force transcode? or is it client only?

I've had MythTV installed and working on my servers for ages (3-4 years) - primarily for recording TV - but is has always been a bit of a pain to actually play back the recordings on the TV in the family room.
So having enjoyed the ease-of-use of Plex with a Roku3 client for a while, I thought I'd try to make a plugin allowing me to watch MythTV recordings through Plex.
The result has passed the family test (ḱids & wife have used it for a couple of weeks now), so I thought I'd share the results, in case anyone else out there could use it:

Note that this plugin requires that you have a Linux server with a working MythTV backend (I can recommend the MythBuntu distribution, which wraps everything in one install - but expect the tuning of channels and setup of program guide data to be a bit cumbersome...:-).

Recently I've been finding I can't watch anything on Primewire from my Roku. Everything I try says the content may not be available or it's an unsupported format. I've even tried things I've watched not even a week ago on the Roku and the same issue. I know they work because I can watch them on a computer through the browser. Any ideas why I'm having this issue?
Not sure if this question belongs here but it's the closest I could find that makes sense. When I go through the tracks imported from iTunes in Plex on my PC and iPhone, many songs have "Unknown Artist" in the "Track Artist" field. I've been entering this information by searching for Unknown Artist and filling the track artist info manually. Is there a better way for me to do this? Wondering if this was an issue in the past that's been addressed, and I should just reimport iTunes now. I hate to do that because I've tediously corrected hundreds of album covers and album associations that Plex screwed up. Any thoughts are appreciated.
Hi all,
I am not sure what happened, but I probably changed something in my iMac and Plex is not liking it. I did some cleanup and reinstalled Plex, while before the cleanup the server was working fine and all the installed channels were presenting content, now only some channels work while the majority of them doesn't.
One among all is CC. This is a piece of the plugin log where i can find an exception.

Recently all of the TV have now moved to watch.cb.ca exclusively.
Sports , news, and radio will stay on cbc.ca
Kids is currently on both but soon only be on watch.cbc.ca
Anyone out there in the PlexVerse capable of creating a channel/plugin that would analyze any media with that little blue circle number on media with more than one video file for 1 movie/episode??
For those with automated download set-ups, these dupes start to add up and use precious HD space. Would be nice to have them automatically deleted based on their quality.

In this scenario File #1 would be deleted in favor of file #2.
I'm assuming the analysis data is already stored somewhere, just a matter of accessing and then triggering a delete of the lesser quality file.

I was unable to find a plugin that would allow me to play custom streams, so after days of learning Python, with help of shopgirl284, Mikedm139 and examples found on this forum, I created my first Plex plugin; I present You Plex plugin that plays network streams (a.k.a. IPTV) from a M3U playlist:

OneTechGenius also made a video guide on how to set up various Plex channels including this one, You can find it on Youtube, a written version is also available.
Included sample playlist is outdated. You can find some playlists scattered along this thread (like posts #388, #399, #407, #417, #457, #500, #501 and so on) or just google for them.
At the moment plugin supports HTTP and RTSP streaming protocols, RTMP also works with some limitations, and MMS did not work for me on any device, some users report that it works in Android and Plex Web.
Please keep in mind that this plugin does not actually play videos by itself, it only passes links to Plex in a format understandable to Plex and the playback is done by Plex client, and it is a known fact that Plex Media Server does not transcode live streams so you might need a third party transcoder like VODServer if client is unable to transcode streams by itself, please read post #97 (especially Apple TV owners) and compatibility section of readme file for more information.
If plugin does not work for You or You don't like it or don't like Plex, but still want to watch IPTV on your Smart TV or other device, You can check post #194 for alternative solutions, but in any way please consider making a small donation if I was of any help for You.
And instead of summary, if someone of more experienced developers could spare a few minutes to test and review my plugin I would be more than grateful, please help me perfect it to be suitable for the App Store.
So I wanted to let my users request movies and TV Shows to be added to my server, but I didn't want to install another service so I made a Plex Channel for it. Plex Channel Development isn't the greatest but I think it works well enough.

This will be a beta release so it may not be completely stable yet.
I have only tested this with PlexWeb and Android, so there may be more bugs on other platforms. Sometimes Plex won't want to show posters so you might have to manually change from list to another view format. Also in PlexWeb when entering in input, you have to use the searchbar, a new textbox won't pop up. On other platforms there you click the link and a box should pop up. The default Pushover key will have a limit of 7,000 hits per month, if you want to avoid this, you can use your own Pushover keys.
Let me know if there are bugs and feel free to fork the project on GitHub. If anyone would like to create some more icons that would be great as well.

First off, thank you to Krustyreturns for his help with this project and also his on going development of ServerWMC which is allowing us to integrate Windows Media Center's LiveTV functionality with Plex.

This channel is in it very early Alpha stages. Currently it will only work with a TV tuner that has DLNA capabilities such as the HDHomeRun Prime.

Networks: Tested on LAN, WiFi, and over 4G network on Android. (This means successful streaming of LiveTv from your home to anywhere in the world as long as you have a decent cell connection.)
Settings in wmc2plex channel:
serverwmcip - put in the ip of your machine running ServerWMC. Default is localhost.
serverwmc_port - If you changed the port when ServerWMC was installed put that in. Default is 9080.
server_wmc_epg_days - This will dictate how many days of EPG (guide) info to get. default is 7. This is more for future use as in its current state it only shows what is now playing on the channels.
debug_level - If you are having trouble please change this to Verbose, restart Plex and recreate the issue. Submit the logs. Otherwise, default is normal but can be turned to none.
Again, thank you to Krustyreturns and other who have helped with this project. I will release another Alpha build when the next phase is complete.

A: This is most likely because you are using a client that does not support encrypted HLS streams. See the above list for clients that support encrypted HLS.

A: Check your plex client preferences. You need to have the quality settings set higher than the quality of video you are trying to play. The highest quality that the NFL offer is 4.5mbps 720p, so have your quality settings higher than that.

A: This will most likely be an issue with your VPN/Proxy/DNS service, you will need to take this issue to there support or start a separate thread in the forum. Please can I ask that you don't post any issues about this in this thread. I don't like this to be discussed as it breaks US/international copyright laws. Equally it would be hard to support something that is most likely an unrelated problem to the functionality of this channel.

A: Please post your questions in this thread, and if you have an error please also include the PMS version, plex client version and logs files for the channel, plex media server and your plex media client.
Current issues with Channel (do not post about these issues if listed here)
- (Gamepass) NFL Network Archived shows not working on Samsung.
- (Gamepass) No Gamepass content working on latest iOS Plex app due to a bug in the Plex App. Plex iOS team are working on it. However Plex/Web does work on Safari/iOS.
- (Gamepass) Plex/Web generally doesn't work with most popular browsers but I'm sure some web browsers are fine, apparently Microsoft Edge on Win10 is an example of a working browser.
- (Gamepass) Experimental player needs to be off for content to work on Plex/Android.

Early January I gave the very talented Sander a challenge, and we worked a week on it. The challenge was to try and create a Dreambox plugin which I could use in my setup which would fetch my cousins dreambox content.
I am pleased to say that we have a working first draft which you guys can tryout if you want to.
It uses the raw stream at a specific IP, but we also tried to build in support for having a transcoder at a seperate address in case people outside your network wants to view, but has limited bandwidth.

Go into the plugin, choose preferences. In the host field you add the IP address to your dreambox. In the "web interface port" you add the port which the web interface uses. This plugin uses the web interface to change channels. The field called "Streaming video port" should contain the port from which you stream transcoded material (if any).
Maybe in the future Sander will have time to help me flesh this out, but for now this is what exists. Let me know how it works for you guys.
Limitations: This plugin is only tested with the web interface that is called Enigma Web Interface - Pli Edition. Until more development is done to support the Dreambox API, no other web interface will work I believe.
It cannot play the videos on my Tivo any more. The still find the Tivo's just fine and show what are on the hard drives but will not play any of them any more.
